I just get the feeling this game is only tailored towards fans of the series and would feel alien to newbies to the series …. I haven’t played tho.. I could be wrong.
Yeah I finished it yesterday. I’m putting it down for a week or so then going for another round. I’m picking up Ninja Gaiden II tomorrow morning. Rawr!
I want to play the new MGS but I haven’t played any of the previous games. I feel like I wouldn’t appreciate the storyline very much without playing the previous games first. :/
I totally agree, the ending in particular was awesome. I’m kinda hoping that they just leave it at that and don’t make any more of these, because I don’t think Kojima Productions can top themselves in craziness after this.
But who am I kidding? Konami will probably churn out another one.
At the beggining of Act 3, so far its great although there are far too many cut scenes, if your expecting all action you will be dissapointed. 8/10 for me so far.

For those of you having reservations buying a PS3 just for this game, don’t forget that you’re also getting the best blu-ray player on the market, free online play, reliable hardware, access to the library of great PSN games that aren’t just HD remakes of older games, and a great lineup of exclusive titles like Uncharted, R&CF, Resistance and Warhawk.
Its cool you liked the game, at least now we know they finally were able to unite east and west and everything from now on will be great. Soooo… 6 stars ??
i will get it once it’s around 29euro’s.
the last MGS took way too long to finish at all difficulty levels, and thus i don’t think it’s worth the full 59euro’s a game costs in Europe xbox360 is even more expensive here (65euro’s).
