Just noticed this (click for a full-size image) and wanted to say thanks to all of you for making the Arrow Pointing Down podcast the #2 video-game-related podcast on iTunes today. We have some exciting and dangerous ideas kicking around for the future, so stay tuned!
Someone needs to come up with an internet-friendly equivalent to “stay tuned.”
Stay bookmarked! No.
Stay down with RSS! Nah.
OK, well, I don’t have anything good enough to replace that. But that’s beside the point.
Also, while I have you here, do yourself a favor and go over to Street Carnage to listen to Bobby Brown reciting every number and letter he can think of after busting into someone’s studio space and demanding to drop hot rhymes over their beats. Just listen to the one marked “Brown Bomber” if you’re in a hurry. I’ve been wandering around the house, often in my underwear, shouting “BROWN BOMBER! A, B, C, D, E, F, G!” for a couple of days now.

Excellent news. I discovered podcasts exactly 2years ago and now listen to them daily. They’ve allowed me to learn so much, not only about games but about people in the industry too. I liked what you guys did with Gamespot during your time there so it’s my pleasure to follow you here too.

Wow that’s impressive! Its No 1 in the videogame category for the Irish itunes store.
I’d imagine many people have stopped listening to the hotspot and are now listening to arrow pointing down instead.
I’m also pleased that Ryan is the host as I think all you guys are funny but Jeff is much funnier when he’s bouncing off other people and whispering insanities from the sidelines.
The web equivalent of stay tuned could be stay loaded

I think there may be a hidden message in “Brown Bomber”. I’ll continue to study the lyrics . . . Kinda reminds me of the sweet rap at the end Gears of War. What a great way to star the day, thanks for pointing out this song. Oh and congratz, that little podcast is doing well. Hope this helps to reinforces how much people enjoy listing to you, Ryan and Alex talk about anything at all. If EA had any sense they’d be buying you 3 for 2 billion.

The time is now. Your fans want more than just a blog and a podcast. You should strike while the iron is hot. People forget; they get bored; and time is enough to make them stop caring anymore. As a fan,I ask you not to miss this opportunity. Start your own gaming website. I know it’s hard and will take time and effort but I’m sure the result will be amazing. Since you can listen to podcasts on any mp3 player, why not go with something ilke “Stay Zuned.” Get it? Cuz the term podcast came from the Ipod, why not make the catchphrase asking you to keep in touch with your favorite podcast based off of it’s biggest competitor?
P.S. It’s a pretty sad time for me, being a fan of gamepot.com and all. I remember the days when that podacst couldn’t be touched with a 30 foot pole. And now, nowhere near the top ten. I weep.(In corner)

I love hearing you guys talk, but I gotta shoot off some suggestions since this is the internet: keep it tighter on the video games. Maybe have a more solid “what are you playing this week and what do you think of it” segment. That’s it. Just stay more focused on the video games and you will be at #1 soon. Stay cool fool.

The only reason why it’s so popular is because Jeff and the rest are so popular because of there days at gamespot. The podcast so far has had no structure what so ever (You need Rich Gallup to be host!) and you talk about stuff that has nothing to do with video games at all and seem to have been sponsored considering how much time you spend saying “This beavarage is awesome! You should try it!” I can’t even try it anyway since I don’t live in the states =P

Dear Jeff and Crew,
Ever since the Hotspot really came into its own, you guys were my podcasting brothers.
I love the non-game topics, the crazy banter.
I can even get a kick out of the energy drink tests.
But please, as a favor to your brother:
Keep the swearing down or bleeped.
It might seem crazy, but a part of why I liked the Hotspot is the fact that you kept it clean for the most part. It shows a sense of responsibility and real maturtity- even if it was partially enforced by the corporate bit.
Don’t let those words get in the way of reaching more listeners.
I can understand the odd one- but please, keep them out.
Anyway.
Hope your enjoying life, and find things of value to occupy your time.

Ive just stumbled ocross your great Arrow Pointing Down podcast with Ryan Davis and Alex Navarro. Its like the old team back togeter again. It almost brought a tear to my eye - Fantastic! Ill be checking back for more regularly.
I hope you, Ryan, Alex and a some of the other ‘ex-spoters’ set up an independent games site that is able to voice truly objective views and capable of ‘laying the smack down’ were necessary.
