Prototype it is!

February 21st, 2008 at 2:28 pm

Decided that the Prototype session was going to be more interesting. This session seems to be attracting a slightly younger crowd than the ones I’ve been to so far. That’s probably because it’s more focused on a game that isn’t out yet.

The session title, “Open World, Open Mind: Next Generation Thinking” is pretty silly.

Three minutes until go time. I think I’ll actually take real notes during this one, in case something rad is shown.

That’s a really silly phrase. Looking forward to read your impressions on Prototype. And SFIV!!!

I am also very interested in your opinions of Prototype. I know Sierra is behind the game, but it seems very . . . ‘Hulk’-ish.

Sierra made Hulk Ultimate Destruction so I have a feeling it will be very close to that. Obviously there will be more to it than just that, I seeing kind of a Mercenaries faction thing.

i attended a session at the Game Design Expo in Vancouver where Kelly Zmak went on about Original IPs and talked about how fricking crazy the original concept to Prototype was.

Is it Kelly giving this presentation or someone else?

I would have gone to the Mass Effect one, though Prototype looks very cool.
